Logos Legacy Libraries are curated bundles of digital Bible study resources sold by Faithlife Corporation as part of their Logos Bible Software platform. Each library brings together hundreds of books — commentaries, Bible dictionaries, original-language tools, devotionals, church history, and more — at a significant discount compared to buying each title individually.
Libraries are available in seven tiers: Starter ($39.99), Bronze ($89.99), Silver ($349.99), Gold ($849.99), Platinum ($1,499.99), Diamond ($2,999.99), and Portfolio ($4,749.99). Note that Portfolio libraries are not included in this tool due to their specialist scope — they can be found directly on the Logos website. Each tier spans versions from Logos 5 through Logos 2025, and is available in the Standard version, as well as in denominational variants including Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Reformed, Methodist & Wesleyan, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Messianic Jewish, Catholic (Ordinariate), and Seventh-day Adventist — plus the 2025 role-based series.
The 2025 series introduces role-based library tracks: Learner (biblical languages and academic tools), Leader (pastoral care and church leadership), Preacher (homiletics and sermon resources), and Researcher (biblical languages, critical texts, journals, and scholarly apparatus). All Legacy Libraries — Logos 5 through Logos 2025 — are 25% off through July 1, 2026 (9 a.m. PDT).
Select the resource types that matter most to you, explore the roles and traditions you're interested in, and choose your budget tier. The tool ranks all matching libraries by the total collection value they contain in your chosen categories.
1. Which version should I choose — Logos 5, Logos 9, or Logos 2025?
This is one of the most important questions to ask before buying. All versions within a tier cost the same price, but they are not equal in value. Older libraries such as Logos 5 and Logos 6 typically have a higher collection value — meaning their individual resources add up to more when bought separately — because Logos was able to license a larger number of premium titles at the time. Newer versions such as Logos 9, Logos 10, and Logos 2025 tend to include more recently published resources but often have a lower total collection value. The exception is Verbum (the Catholic/Ordinariate edition), where newer versions tend to grow in value over time as more Catholic scholarship is added. The Logos 2025 series also introduces role-specific libraries (Learner, Leader, Preacher, Researcher) not available in earlier versions. Use the collection value (CV) shown in this tool to compare what you actually get for your money.
2. Can I upgrade from one library to another?
Yes — Logos offers upgrade pricing when you already own a library and want to move to a higher tier or a newer version. Because Logos uses dynamic pricing, the price you pay for an upgrade depends on which resources in the new library you already own. The more you already own, the less you pay. This means two people buying the same library upgrade can pay very different prices. Always check your personalised price on the Logos website while logged in to your account, as the displayed upgrade price will reflect your specific ownership.
3. Are prices shown accurate?
Prices shown in this tool are standard retail prices. Logos uses dynamic pricing, which means your actual price is almost always lower — it is automatically reduced based on resources you already own across your library. On top of that, Logos regularly offers seasonal sales, academic discounts, and subscriber discounts. Always verify the current price on the official Logos product page while signed in to your account before purchasing.
